What is E-Ticket

After successful online purchase you will receive an email receipt from Google Checkout/iVarta with the subject “Order receipt from...”. This email is your E-Ticket and will have the details about your purchase. You need to take a print-out of this receipt and present it at the event venue. The person whose name the ticket is issued in, must be present at the door along with a valid photo-id. All E-Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

How exactly does the online buying process work?

When you are ready to buy your tickets, click on the "Add to Cart" button against the type of ticket you wish to buy. Enter the quantity of tickets you wish to buy and click on "Update Cart" button.

Click on "Continue shopping" to add different type of ticket (and "Update Cart" every time you add new ticket). When your are done, click on the "Google Checkout" button. This will take you to the secure Google Payment Gateway where you can proceed with credit card payment.

Even though I entered ticket quantity, the Google gateway shows only 1 ticket, Why?

This happens when you enter the tickets in the quantity box, but you do not click on “Update Cart” button. You must click on “Update cart” button before you select “continue shoping” or you proceed with the “Google Checkout”.

Do I have to create a Google account?

Yes, to complete your order you need to create the Google a/c. Please note: This is not a Gmail a/c (Google Email), but just an account that can be created using your existing personal email id (that need not be Gmail id)

Which credit cards can I use to purchase tickets?

Our Google gateway accepts four major credit cards
         .
For security purposes, we can not accept cash, checks, or money orders.

I am providing my Credit card number, is your process secure against misuse?

All the credit card transactions in iVarta.com take place at Google Checkout Gateway which is one of the most secure online gateway as of today.

Does iVarta have access to my Credit Card details?

iVarta does not have any access to your credit card details. We receive order details from Google once the sale is complete. These contains details about your purchase, address and name. iVarta does not receive credit card related information from Google.

What is the CVV Number?

CVV is Card Verification Value Code. CVV is an authentication procedure established by credit card companies to reduce fraud in online transactions. CVV number is a 3 or 4 digit code, generally embossed on the back of the card. This code provides a cryptographic check of the information on the card. Online transaction requires the card holder to enter the CVV number to verify that the card is with you. The CVV code helps ascertain that the customer placing the order actually possesses the credit/debit card and that the card account is legitimate.

Where is the CVV Number?

This number is generally on back of the card in the signature area. (It is the last 3 or 4 digits in the signature area of the card.)

What happens after successful payment processing?

After buying the online tickets you will receive two emails from Google Checkout:

1: The Email-Receipt: that gives the details about your purchase. This is your E-Ticket. You should print this receipt and carry this with you at the venue along with your photo id.

2: The shipping confirmation: This shipping notice confirms that we have sent you the receipt of the sales. Depending on server the traffic you may receive the shipping confirmation after you get the receipt or before the receipt. This is just an additional message to confirm your purchase. This notice may say that “Your item has been shipped and you will receive it soon”. Please ignore this message because you would have already received your e-tickets in the email (#1 above).

I got shipping confirmation email. Is iVarta going to send me the Paper Tickets?

Shipping notice is just a confirmation that we have sent your E-ticket. We will not send you any paper tickets. We may send an additional email that explains the process after e-ticket buying. Please see the questions above for more details

I got to the ticket purchase confirmation screen, but I did not get confirmation e-mail. Did my ticket purchase go through?

Yes, if the confirmation page was displayed, your sale was completed. If you did not get the confirmation e-mail, you may have inadvertently provided a working email id or your e-mail system might have filtered the e-mail receipt into the JUNK/BULK folder. If you do not get Google Checkout email (even after 4 hours) you may inform us.

How would the event organizers know that I have bought E-Ticket for their event?

The event organizers have access to the information that lists Buyer's Name and the order details (like number of tickets, when purchased etc). This information is available real time (immediately after the buyers purchase the ticket the information is available for them to view on our system.)

Will I get a Paper Ticket at the Event Gate?

This is how a standard process for E-Ticketing works ideally. Though we would like the organizers to follow this best practice we can not guarantee how exactly the organizers will handle this at the event venue.

Organizers of the event are supposed to have an envelop ready with the number of paper tickets you purchased with your name on it. When you present your e-receipt along with your photo-id, the organizer representative is supposed to hand over the paper tickets to you. This completes the process e-tickets successfully. Its entirely the organizer's responsibility to honor the e-ticket and we can not control the process at the venue.

Can I claim the refunds or cancel the ticket purchase?

The decision whether or not to allow refunds is made by the event organizers. If you have any questions about the cancellation or refunds you need to contact the organizers/promoters whose contact would be on the event page.

If we receive a specific request from the organizers we shall process the refund. Please note that the service and other fees associated with a ticket sale will not be refunded.

How are the rescheduling, cancellations, and venue changes handled?

We sell tickets on behalf of the organizers/promoters. IVarta.com is not allowed to take decisions about refund or cancellations. Once we get the request from the organizer we will process the refund immediately. The customers should see the credits to their statement with in 4 to 7 business days from the request/organizer authorization.
